Hey guys I was thinking of buying a ek9 box with spoon lsd fitted. Was wondering what differents would the new lsd make? How do I tell its a spoon lsd as its secondhand? Is there much to fitting new box or does it take a bit of work. :nice:

Advantage - corner harder & faster than before, night & day to oem LSD.
Disadvantage - clunking noises, 'tugging' at the steering wheel when cold.

Without dismantling the box, no way to tell, all the aftermarket diff perform the same though, Kaaz/Spoon/Cusco etc.

As for fitting, depends on our skills, somebody will expand on this Im sure.

as said above huge increase in grip when cornering, pulls the car into the corner.fitting the new gearbox isnt too hard, just be patient and tidy, you shouldnt do it if your not mechanically minded though.

I've had good luck using this specific combination:

One full bottle goes in before I add Redline MTL.

Generally, it is sold directly at your local Ford dealership, but I do not know if this is available in your country.

Since you state you use Redline now, they also have a similar product.

I would try half the bottle first - as some friction modifiers are more slippery than others. Don't forget to rotate one wheel as you fill to ensure the fluid fills the diff completely.
