Ek9 insurance help

Honda civic ek9 type r rx
Hi can anyone help me with this ,I have a 2000 Honda civic ek9 type R rx on a w308 plate when I put the full reg in it comes back as
Make and model Honda Civic SE 5DR 1.6 1590cc ???
 
If your using a comparision site sometimes they either don't know what it is or when the car was registered this is what was put into the database. What does the log book say?
 
The v5 says everything that's down on there system correct engine size same reg only thing that differs is the ma v5 says 3DR hatch and the insurance has SE 5DR

Also if anyone knows of good insurance company's for ek9s please let me know
 
check the bottom of the forum man - theres an insurance section

ive always used the admiral group ( elephant / admiral / bell etc )
 
most of the comparison websites don't have the ek9 in there databases as its a Japanese import. check out the insurance section at the bottom of the main page, specialists for these types of car will usually do you a better deal and you know your covered properly.
 
green light is on here in insurance section very good price or sky/adrain flux
 
Manged to get ma car insurance sorted went with skyinsurance they specialise with imports so knew my car right away and got it even cheaper so would highly recommend them
