Looking to replace my EK4 manifold with a EK9 one, just to confirm is this direct fitment onto my B16a (I have a full mongoose stainless system fitted with decat atm)? Will i actually see a noticeable difference when fitted?

Cheers :nice:

Going with the question above.

Would a OEM DC2 header be better for the B16A or an after market manifold?
:nice:

when i had my ek4, i had an ek9 manifold.
it was noisier and more responsive.
didnt notice much power increase though.

OEm 4-1 (98 jdm teg)is the best upgrade in terms of factory

What are the differences btw the EK4 and EK9 manifolds?

the ek9 manifold aint much better than the one thats on it. the only difference is i think the bore size. like said the teg manifold works very well on these cars

I'm about to upgrade my header too (EK4).

I found this picture breakdown on the difference between the EK4 exhaust system and EK9.

The 4-2 piece seems to be the same on both the EK4/EK9.
But what's different is the downpipe. EK4 being 42.7mm and EK9 is 57.2mm.

I'm planning to upgrade my manifold and wanted to know will I benefit from an aftermarket 4-2-1 piece (5zigen/Silk Road being in budget at the moment)

or would a EK9 downpipe (2-1) (57.2mm) be sufficient?

My car engine is pretty stock apart from air in-take and have spoon b-pipe and mugen twinloop muffler on at the moment.

Ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ajay :nice:

Vibrant.

That or the Zigen with the 2.5in collector meant for the B18C.

If you're in a pinch and find a 96spec DC2-R header for cheap (I got mine for $50usd) then by all means, run that.
