Just to add- fd2 is 1 second quicker around tsukuba and 4 seconds quicker around Suzuka compared with the dc5.
These tests were carried out by honda.
On the other hand the dc5 is 1 second quicker than the dc2 around tsukuba. Food for thought.
Well, that comment just shows how diverse people's opinions are!
And what do you base that on? Have you driven or owned both?
Driven both and prefer the 9. The 9 is quicker up to about 80mph. When on track i must of passed 3 EP3s. They look so wobbly round the bends and even on the straights I could hold them off.
There are rumours that the UK EP3s were originally meant to be the sport or VTI replacement but honda re badged it the Type R and produced en mass.
The REAL EP3 Type R are the JDM ones. More power, LSD, Recaros, Red interior, Better tuning, Different cams etc.
The Japs always keep the good stuff to themselves and gives the rest rebadged VTI's.
Ive also had both.
ep3 newer, more comfortable and in my opinion better looking. Better top end and k20 easier to tune and get more power from.
ek9 more raw, feels more planted round corners, vtec alot more aggressive, as said quicker 0-80mph.
