If the average pre-facelift was £6000 a couple years ago from you Duncan, how much would the same car cost now once imported?
Its interesting to think what would happen if Honda re-introduced the EK9 new from the factory as it was rolled off the floors years ago. No changes at all, see how fast they sell out of them. I would bet that they would sell well!
I was just thinking this myself as i read down through the first page of post the sad thing is it will probably never happen hopefully i am wrong in saying that tho

As good as it sounds, I don't think it would sell well.
I don't think they could re-release it legally due to new safety regs & emissions laws even if they wanted to!

did the tsunami not destroy many EK9's aswell?
I contacted Torque GT and they can still get EK9's at £6k for a high grade prefacelift with 70k'ish miles and £7k for a facelift, they said that the Yen is strong but prices in Japan have dropped.
I'm tempted to get my own pre-facelift imported at £6000! Sadly I'd have to wait 5-6 weeks!
I would cry if i saw my ek9 float away in Tsunami lol
There is a yellow 2000 light weight version with 4k miles on Goo-net I enquired about it for my customer and the seller is after 1,760,000 Yen = £22,500 OMFG!
Dunx
Ek9's are becoming very rare cars even in Japan now so as result they will hold they're value pretty well regardless of mileage.
Lol, two or three people have posted on threads and via PM's that 'EK9s are getting rarer now even in Japan' that I've seen since this thread. This may single-handedly bump up the price of EK9s! Was it part of a dastardly plan by the forum's No. 1 EK9 seller?
