Hey guys,

i thought it would be a good Idea to start a Service Schedule that other members would be able to use as a guide line for when certain things should be changed. This could be done in either a mileage benchmark or in intivals?

You should also check over brake pads and discs and change if needs be.
Also thinks to check is play in the wheels for bushing and bearings.
Also the track rod ends should be looked over aswell to make sure everything is running right!

I gave my EK9 a going over on Saturday and realised I need new bushings, bearing and track rod!

Thank God I checked cause that could have been lethal!

They are on a 6K schedule.Parts that should be fitted

Thats exactly the kinda of thing i wanna make! Cheers Boyle!

List ammended

On the 60k service also add:

air-con A/C belt
Power steering belt
& maybe valve clearance.:nice:

I would change the gearbox oil more often than that. When you think about it the gearbox oil is not cooled and filtered like the engine oil and is very important for keeping parts like the bearings, diff and syncros etc it good condition esp when driven hard:drive:

When I do trackdays I would change the engine and gearbox oil afterwards and even before if it was used for too long

Agree I to my gearbox every other oil change & I only use on the road.

Also I would get waterpump changed with belts every 60k You dont have to but its so cheap its worth doing while belts are being done.

I would also say if your car has done over 60-70k & u need to have a coolant flush & refill It would be worth installing a new thermostat as these give up around this time on the EK series Again only if u want to but so cheap its worth it.

How does every other oil change sound?

Remember guys i need lots of input so i can make a decent guide which reflects on lots of peoples servicing checklists and tips :nice:

The Honda MTF is long life to last between services, but I do change mine about once a year.
This is an old sevice schedule when Honda used to put 10w 40 engine oil in the gearbox so the used to change it often but on the new Hondas the MTF is only changed at 75K!

Is this service schedule up to date & everyone happy with it?

Great info for me being a new EK9 owner.

:)

I believe this can be apply to B18C engine too? Is the above statement in mile or km?
