Hello,

soon I will get my "new" ek9 from japan.:woot:

I have a little question...I get this car with Spoon N1 catback and Mugenairbox...the importer means, that I don't need a spoon manifold because the b16b manifold is the best for this combination.
What do yo think?

Sorry for the bad english...im from Germany ^^

that's manifold looks great.:) when a manifold is a worthwhile addition, then i will talk with my importer and when my whole money isn't away, then i will order a 4-2-1 manifold from Toda or Tegiwa.
Where are the two manufacturers from?japan?
There are other good manufacturers, which produce 4-2-1 manifolds for combination with b16b an poon n1 from japan?

if you have the money go for toda , if you dont want to spend that much go for tegiwa, if your looking for a japen made mani then i would go for a spoon manifold to go with the n1, but that just me , mugen also do a great mani, also and heard good things about 5zegin too , also japanese made

Because the Ek9 is a jdm car, i try to take only products from japan. So you mean, it is the best i take the sppon manifold...the 4-2-1, which is also for the eg or the 4-1 for ek9? I think the first one is better because the engine gets power in lower engine speed, isn't it?

I have a spoon 4-2 on my car and a standard 2-1. It was the way it was when I got my car and I added a spoon b pipe and N1. Was going to buy a spoon 2-1 but according to spoon sports europe the stock Honda downpipe provides a wide torque band that is ideal for street driven cars. So it is recommended that a primarily street driven car use the Spoon 4-2 header with the stock downpipe for better low and mid-range power

That is a silly principle to follow.

Let me ask you this:

Who makes the seats in the EK9?

That's right. Recaro. Pretty interesting considering you are German yourself.

The steering wheel? MOMO - That's Italian last time I checked.

I'm sorry to say that parts development from Japan ceased for the B16A/B, B18C LONG ago. It is mostly the American brands out there that you will find continued header and camshaft development etc.

However, the Toda is still regarded as the best off the shelf header for mild to moderate B16A/Bs and B18Cs. Save some money, get a proven header from Tegiwa and put that money towards getting the ECU remapped.

I second that...

I want a Tegiwa header! :((

Okay. I didn't know so well. I'm new in this area. I have to learn very much! Thank you for the information. So I will take one of this two manifolds.

Okay...then I will save my money and spend it to a Toda Manifold.
Is there a better catback system as spoon n1?
What is the best catback system for b16b to increase horse power?

okay then I will drive the stock header the first time.:)

1.
I think so 800 to 1000 Euro, depending on what the EK9 will be cost...It will come directly with my Ek9 from Japan and so I get prices from Japan. So it will be a little bit cheaper.

This car is my hobby. I will use it for Honda/Japanese Car meetings, tuning meetings, 1/4 mile (but only to shock german vws ^^)
3.
The Car ist Stock except the Mugen Airbox, maybe a Hondata S300 and later then a new Header
4.
I want wo have some more hps and a very good sound...It can't be to loud because I can control the exhaust sound over a valve.;-)
