Yo guys, it was my birthday on wednesday and pops wants to buy me an experience day doing some sort of automotive activity. I really fancy the sound of some of the drift days getting to drive some jap drift mules.

can anybody recommend one of these days? any advice or suggestions?

I did a "Stunt Driving" day which was good fun only did a few handbrake turns, J turns and a bit of racing but was good fun. I would recommend it.

I've read mixed reviews on the supercar days and would rather learn some more skills! :nice:

A drift day would be pretty sweet.

I strongly advise not to do a Mercedes world one, the cars are fast but boring!

Haha. i cant wait mate! few of my mates have got big turbo cars. im the only one with a NA honda. so i cant wait to give it ago.

id recommend that one mate. customer service is pretty good so far

Drift days or rally days are a much better laugh than supercar in my experience. They never let you loose with them as they are too expensive. Make you short shift all the time :angry2: Single seaters are also good as you have no one telling how to drive:)

Last year I done a Palmer sport day. It was awesome! High spec race cars that your allowed to drive properly! The instructors push you to drive faster and get the most out of the cars.

I done a half day and drove - BMW M3 GTP, Caterham 7 Superlight, Cilo cup race spec, porsche JP3.

Its expensive but its 1 of the best experiences you can do in the U.K hands down, especially if you was to do the whole day!!

That palmer course looks top notch, any idea of the price? The drift event at Santa pod is what i'm swaying towards though. decisions decisions!

And Matt i'll let you know if I end up booking it!

I did one of those 6th Gear days at Elvington. It consisted of 1lap as a passenger in an M3 CSL to learn the track then 3laps driving a Lamborghini Murcielago Then back in the passenger seat of the CSL for a 'fast lap'

Not sure how much my parents paid but it was a good experience and I can now say I've driven a Lambo though I do regret not choosing to drive the 360 Challenge Stradale or the Ariel Atom as they looked a lot more fun!

i did supercar driving for my 16th birthday. Was brilliant. Drifting should be even more fun.

Forgot to add, that my dad did RallySchool for his 40th (nearly 20 years ago lol) and he said that it was great fun as they really encouraged you to push hard. Back then they were running Sierra Sapphires I think they're onto Scoobys now
