well lads any of ye had many experiences with timewasters? im in the process of selling my golf to get back into the honda scene! and iv had nothing but timewaster after timewaster saying there coming to view the car then dey dont show or dnt respond on the day? its absolutly sickening! its gotten to the stage where im just fed up of trying to sell it!! :angry2:

i had a few when i was selling my old car! Its very frustrating sometimes but i guess your always going to get them when you selling a car! Shame it has to be like that! :(

yea its frustrating alrite! oh sorry for the rant by the way hah

Well i just get them to call the day before and just as they are about to leave and that's usually when i give my post code.
I have learnt over the years not to put yourself out too much but be available if that makes any sense.
Dunx

thats what i did... made sure they call the night before hand! one guy for instance rang the night before to confirm he will be coming the next morning! he was asking all the right questions sounded genuinely interested. then 2 hours later askd where i could meet him. i told him the town/area i lived in ( he lived 2 hours away ) he then asked for my actual address so he could meet me nearer my house as requested by him. so i gave it to him then he starts acusing me of giving him a different address and saying i was lying to him??? and say he wont be coming to view the car because of this???

i was literally lost 4 words ha. some people just dont have a clue!

i dont get how people would be bothered ringing about a car if there have no intension's in coming to look at it, what is the point of it? like do they get a kick out of it or what. its the most sickening thing because when they say there coming to view, you start to think to yourself that this could be the one to take the car and then..... a no show, the c**ts :angry2:

yes thats exactly what i was thinking... i even had my eye on something else! oh well back to the drawing bord

Yeah it get's so tedious answering the same questions over and over again knowing 95% aren't actually going to bother to come. You'd think spending a good hour selling your car better than it's press release would save you that hassle, but apparently not!

Thats pretty **** mate, some people are just idiots out there and have no respect. Hope you get it sold soon buddy and get back yourself back into a honda!!!

I had that when selling my eg6 some guy was accusing me saying it wasn't real, blah blah blah and that I thrashed and treated bad, when the previous owen from new ws an old lady lol hope it sells.

haha welcome to the world of selling mate, i had it all the time when selling my jordan, the same guy still calls to see if its for sale, he came to view it said he was buying it and then my dad got a call about his civic that night and it was the same guy lol

I had that problem once...but then found out a week later that the guy that was coming to have a look at the car (and potentially buy it) had been involved in an accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene :((

I felt so bad after

I can understand why you feel / felt bad about that but its not your fault and out of your control !

Its a very scary and eyeopening circumstance though anything can happen at any time.

It is indeed. It was the last thing I was expecting to hear

Being the victim of car theft, I wouldn't give out the address of where the car is parked/stored after advertising it to anybody. That's just not smart, you never know who you are talking to.

Always meet potential buyers at a local car park or petrol station. Think lads!

x2 i wouldnt ever say over the phone where im living to a potential buyer a quick cruise around the area and im sure they would find your car and know a lot about it already!!

yes usually i wouldnt give my address out like that but he seemed genuine and i tought he was just trying to see if i had anything to hide! i only realised he could of been trying to scam me or something afterwards anyhow i only told him the village i live in which is big enough and my house would be quite hard to find! although i certainly wont do it again!
