so i was wondering if anyone has attempted this with a baseball bat or that fender rolling tool... do you guys know of any great write ups

don't use a freaking baseball bat for god sakes, use the tool, if you don't have one take it to a shot and have them do it properly...

Correct, actually for the rear you have to use a tool to cut them as they are double layer and the 1/4 panel will just buckle and dent if you try to use a fender rolling tool.
