Im currently replacing my old oem clutch on my ek4 for a Excedy stage1, so i thought i may aswell look into gettin an uprated flywheel at the same time.
I have since come across this;

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180430521003&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

just bascially wanted to ask what anyone thought of this offer?? im a student so havnt got loads of cash to spend, fidanza seem to be quite a well known brand, and this particular price looks quite competitve to me?

Thats what i paid for my fidanza a while back buddy. Thats fine.

Good mod too.

I know that fidanza is one of the best value for money,here in Greece a lot of peaple prefair them and I am going to be one of them the soon....

FWIW, I've owned 4 of them and still use 2 of them in my own personal cars.

recently I read that for B16 motors that they don't have as power as the B18 if you put a flywheel, that is less than 5kgr you have a lot of lost at the 4th gear.
The bast is to use a flywheel, that is at least 5kgr.
What is your opinion about that ?

I find this claim unfounded.

What most people are confused about when they say a lightened flywheel makes their car lose "torque" is not true. They are confusing the terms and what is actually lost is inertia.

So yes, inertia is lost and this is apparent when in 1st gear as you will require some more revs to get the car moving from a stand still.

However, when the car is already in motion, inertia lost at the flywheel affects how quickly the rate of acceleration is gained and lost. This is why cars with lightened flywheels have a tendency to feel like they "made power" by installing a lightened flywheel because the weight they need to spin on a heavy flywheel has been removed.

In a road racing application, you want to have this effect of losing and gaining acceleration quickly as it enables you to slow and accelerate to and from corners as efficiently as possible.

In a day to day driving where drag racing is NOT your primary concern, I would definitely try and use the lightest flywheel AND clutch combination. After fitting an ultra lightweight super single clutch, everything else I've driven just feels sloppy and lethargic.
