Well finally got round to buying a Type R of my own to add to the collection and use as a daily once im driving again.
Full honda service history from new, average 128k on the clocks and incredibly good condition for the price. Lucky enough to know the last 4 owners and have even done work on it for them in the past so I know the car well.
Only mods are Carbon ***** intake and a full Mongoose exhaust system.
Always liked that pic.
Was owned buy a stock car racer that uses Accord Type Rs. I know it sound and looks like such a sin but there are plenty of rust bucket ones about and they make amazing tough and fast stock cars.
Never been a fan of stock UK DC2 wheels so this car was even more so appealing when the owner swapped them for some Gun metal 98 spec 16"s. I wasn't even looking for one or even another bloody car at all, but when the guy rang me needing cash, told me a silly mates rates price tag, as he owed me a few favours in past, I just couldn't pass on it and went straight for a bank loan haha.
Currently sitting on a miss match of tyre size. Some reason it had 215/40R16s fitted. New Eagle F1 GSD3s on the back and half bald Events on the front. Had a pair of 195/45 Potenza RE050As so threw them on the front to get rid of the events. Works out same height just not as wide of course.
Plans are simple.
Pair of 205/45 F1 Asym2's on back and move the 215/40 GSD3's up front, should be an ok balance.
Bin the discusting UK spec manifold off and fit my spare FEELs B18 421 with a fresh O2sensor.
Standard airbox back on and then fit Spoon B18 ECU I have.
Might opt for a set of Eibach spring as it does sit a little high but unsure if I want to upset the balance.
