Hi guys, after a little advice. My brother is thinking about buying an fn2 civic type r,
He just wants me to ask:
What are they like to tune?
Can the be mapped on standard ecu?
Just basically said he wants a little more out of it if he buys it.
Don't want to sign up to another forum just to ask. I know there's a few on here with them.
Thanks

It's the same as all the other k20's just the fn2 has FBW throttle.
Kpro will be best bet for tuning as I believe the stock ecu is not mappable.

You can use Hondata flash pro to map the standard OEM ECU..

I have one - mapped the stock ECU with Hondata Group N.

Vtec in at 3.8k, revs higher too. Makes the car much more drivable over stock ecu settings.

I dont know what power i have, but people reckon with the ECU & Exhaust possible 220bhp top, with a significant rise in mid range.

Hondata flashpro is needed

Then just browse our website for power makers, we have some of the best and most affordable tuning parts

Thanks

Great, the answers I needed thanks guys!!
Tegiwa, have already pointed him in your direction :nice:

Flashpro Tegiwa manifold plus there single exit exhurst, carbon intake and scoops. You would be looking about 225bhp with loads more torque. Check my link below for mods

Shaun, i was going to say that you're best waiting for ek9cub and rd55 dun to comment on this :)

Was waiting for there reply mate :nice:
Brother just can't decide If he wants to do it.
Good idea??

I love mine, they arnt as raw as older Hondas but I have a 40 mile commute so its perfect for me

I was thinking much the same. 225hp for I/H/E plus remap Seems on the lowm side for a K20. I'd be prity disappointed with figures like that. I know it's not all about peak figures but still that's prity low.

yeah, i loved mine but it was kept standard. it took a while for mods to be developed for them and i'd unfortunately sold mine before most came out!!
