Front bumper for EK9

I have recently aquired a EK9 Type R but find the front bumper is far too low and want to replace it.

Can anyone recommend a replacement and where to get them in the UK?

Too low? Is it the original Honda one? If it is just take the lip off?

I know!

That is why I want to change the bumper and remove the side skirts.

You can't see the clearance very well on that pic but ther is only 50mm.

Any suggestions as to a replacement and where to get one?

TBH if it was me, ide be picking up a bumper regardless of colour or condition from the scrappers and put it on temp until you source the correct bumper your after for it. Take a look at the for sale sections, other honda forums, www.hondatech.co.uk JDMy0! • Index page Honda Civic Forum

Give them a bash, best of luck.... i do hope that you smash that kit up.... lol

Any 99-00 civic 2door front bumper should fit, what you need is the lip to finish the look. I believe the Jordan uses the same lip.

this car looks similar to one that tourque GT had for sale down in south devon, i think your right to get rid of that body kit and put standard parts back on, that kit has no place on an EK9,

good luck with finding bumpers etc,, depending on how deep your pockets are you can still buy the bumpers new from honda
 
Well spotted. It was indeed the one from Torque GT in Devon.

I never thought it would be so difficult to find a bumper!

cant belive it sold with that poo kit on it fair play matey try japperformance for bumper etc

good move indeed the car will look a million times better with that on it, u just need the oem side skirts and u sorted :nice:, if u dont mind me asking hw much was the bys front bumper
