Hi there guy's i have a civic and i was thinking of getting a fuel cell for my car,
but i don't know what size fuel cell can i fit in my car. i was thinking of getting a 45 litre fuel cell, will this fit.

please help

thank you

Just out of curiosity - why do you need a fuel cell? Fuel cells come in all shapes and sizes, so I'm sure you could squeeze a 45l cell in your boot if you wanted too, just make sure it has the right dimensions that's all. Or, if you're feeling flush, have one custom made :)

if your not running a spare wheel you can get round ones that fit in the space:

Obvs still need to measure ;)

I need one for next years racing but 45litre is not big enough . U have to run swirl pot and two fuel pumps .

The ATL above is about 54litres if thats any good?

I have a 40 litre atl fuell cell. Fits perfect in the spare wheel well. Just need to get a bracket made to hold it in place

what is a swirl pot? and what does it do? and the current fuel pump im using now is a Aeromotive Eliminator, is this not good enough? or will i HAVE to run 2?

Does anyone know how long a full oem tank will last on track? In minutes, series I'm aiming at is 45mins race so don't want to run out of fuel, could refuel during pit stop but would rather not.
In pretty sure 45mins is easy done but don't want to run into fueling issues from running tank too low.

Mine was ok in the cscc tintops this year 40mins races , but when u get to a quater of a tank u will get fuel starvation ,swirl pot needed . Fuel tank will last 50mins. No refueling is aloud .

Okay thanks for the info, is it possible to get a swirl pot fitted in the oem tank? Or would this need to be an external thing?

U could buy them fuel tank balls, the foam will not fit I cannot get my hand in the tank. Swirl pot has to go out side spare wheel area and covered up.

As Matt says you will be fine for a 45 minute race, I always filled mine until it spilled out, think it was just under the first index at the end of the race, likely not enough for a one hour stint though. Been lucky not to suffer any fuel starvation so far.
A tank in the wheel well is not ideal due to weight transfer for racing, my tuner is costing up options now, probably going to hurt :nerv:

Trackdays & Time Attack only have short stints, extra fuel not needed for that, especially versus the cost of a Jerry can or two..

This is what is left after a 40 minute race (a couple of safety car laps in here too)..

Yeah mine will be effected if I run it that low. I get it around an eighth of a tank
Anything I can do? What are these fuel tank balls bigskank mentioned?

My B18 does not get that low , Balls not ture what size they are might be worth a go. I am going for swirl pot . Hide it in the spare wheel area .

I think I might give it a test run on a trackday, fill it up and run a race length stint see what happens and make a decision from there.
