Gearbox/diff oil change

At the risk of sounding totally stupid, I'm going to ask this anyway :)

My EK9 has a Cusco plated diff in it and I'm not 100% sure when the oil was last changed..

Now, I've seen that Cusco recommend their oil which I'll get BUT do you literally just do a normal gearbox fluid change using the new oil or does the diff have it's own separate filling hole? reason I ask is I know OEM Honda MTF is best for the gearbox and don't know how well it would run on the Cusco stuff (this is of course if there isn't a separate Diff fill bolt).

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Its the same oil for the diff and gearbox dood as far as i know!!! :)
 
its 2.2lts in the gear box.

its a bit **** as they only sell the KAAZ oil in 2lt
 
Yea that is pretty ****. So its going to cost over £71 just for Cusco tranny fluid.. Jeeeez lol
 
I use syncro 80 for mine I have a Mugen played diff in mine.
Everything is great with that fluid and it's sold in 1l bottles.

Cusco sell theirs in 1L bottles but it's a very expensive 1L! That synchro 80 looks well priced compared
 
It's good stuff, Steven got me on to it and I think he has a spoon plated diff.

Mardi Gras at silverstone recommend it and use it on there motors. I normally get 6 bottles at a time.
 
Me too, only ten minutes from silverstone. Do mardi gras stock it do you know? If so I'll pop down
 
hay guys just jumping in on this thred :D , i am going to do an oil change on my standered ek9 box code S4C ? what grade is best and i wasnt sure how to fill it so i watched this vid is the s4c box the same and is this the best way to drain/ fill

also isit still 2.2 litres in a S4C box ?

use honda's MTF fluid or even better torco or millers oil. The easiest way i've found to put oil in the box is to remove the speed sensor and use a long funnel to pour the oil in from there as its at the top of the gearbox.
 
do you have a good link this oil , also isit 75 80 grade or ? and again isit 2.2 litres or just fill it till it pours out ?

EDIT: i found that MTF oil , grade Mtf 94 ,Car lube manafucture ill get some on my journey home and give her a go :)
