Group Buy - 20 x EK9 Carbon Spoiler


Let's hope the others have not been forgotten.

Just ordered the repair resin so hopefully I'll get it early next week and see how it goes.
 
Yep lets hope so after much deliberation lol, Im going to try and repair it with some fibreglass and a dab of epoxy tomorrow from the underneath, and fill the outside with filler, ill post some pics up.

I have update the tracking everyday already.
But the dhl system has still showing its on the way.

i check this thread daily and its a joke how people are paying 200 odd pounds of their own hard earned and are saying their happy alto the delivery time is abismal and their items are all damaged so far! shocking!

If these are clearcoated try buffing the scratches out and using permanent marker to blend any damage in.
 
Few the marks seem to be in when weave of the carbon. Which sometimes. Happens but the big scrape looks bad. May need to hand it down and put more clear coat on. Would not be in.happy my self if a brand new product arrived to me like that.
 
jesus lads....u shouldnt be posting pics up of damaged items...i dont care if your spoilers have come after all this time..id be savage if mine was like that last one...to be honest mate its noticeable and the seller should bloody refund you!! if i buy an item thats even slightly different to what i paid for or it was advertised as im straight on the case!..so far the bloke looks like hes bought a load of damaged spoiler n sold em all to u!!
 
Still no sign of mine. Didn't he originally say like 12 days for delivery? How many months ago? Really not happy and even more annoyed to see the state some of these spoilers are coming in!!! For the price and wait on these there is no way i'm accepting a spoiler that's in anyway damaged!! Shocked some of you aren't returning them. We shouldn't have to repair new items!

HIM520msport - I'd just like to point out the 1979 Sales of goods act to you as your trading in the UK you must abide by this law.

• Wherever goods are bought they must "conform to contract". This means they must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality (i.e. not inherently faulty at the time of sale).

• Goods are of satisfactory quality if they reach the standard that a reasonable person would regard as satisfactory, taking into account the price and any description.

• Aspects of quality include fitness for purpose, freedom from minor defects, appearance and finish, durability and safety.

• It is the seller, not the manufacturer, who is responsible if goods do not conform to contract.

• If goods do not conform to contract at the time of sale, purchasers can request their money back "within a reasonable time". (This is not defined and will depend on circumstances)

Seeing as we've waited 2 months for these we have plenty of time to ask for a refund. HIM520msport - if you've still not already shipped mine I'd really prefer my money back in FULL, especially if the pic's above are what i'm going to receive.
 
There has to be away to get your money back this him is a complete joke and shoulnt be trusted again the state the spoilers are when they are deleived jus proves you carnt always trust people he shouldnt be aloud to sell on the forum again in my eyes n as above has to abide by the rules as stated!!!
 
Got my spoiler off my neighbour yesterday.

I can only see one carbon defect, however there is a bad crack split through the carbon and it is starting to fray! Also the baseplate is twisted, hope this would be sorted by fixing it to the car.

Overall glad it's here, but quality could be better.
 
what a joke not only have yous all wiated months for these finally when they do arrive 3/4 of them are badly damaged i would be furious :( what a joke i dont think this guy will be coming back on the forum any time soon lol

I think he shouldn't be allowed trade anymore on here , hope the buyers got in touch with a moderator or RVM
 
I have attached some pictures below. I think im kinda lucky as i have no real major defects a quick polish would sort, however my main complaint is the crack which is shown, this will have to be repaired before it goes on the car. What cant be seen in the photo that well is the crack which goes onto the top of the plate, and the carbon fibres actually sticking out (no idea how i will/can replace this). Also shown is the bend in the baseplate itself, which i hope will sort itself once on the car, hopefully it wont crack anywhere else.

They were not packaged properly, from what my brother said they were only in bubblewrap. Whoever sent them must've been stupid to think they would arrive undamaged like that.
