GTR32 rims on ek9,

hey guys;
i thought of upgrading to 16"

n my fren has a set of gts r32 rims he wanna let go.

his rims spec is 16inch; 6.5jj offset40. running on 205/40 or 45/16 tires.
looks like tis


do you it can fit my ek??

i did some checking on the wheelmaster.com; it seems like it might be able to fit; but have u guys tried any of tis settings b4??

They look ok on the photoshop pic but you would wanna try them on your car first. Any idea what weight they are?
 
The specs you gave will fit, but if he's your friend why not just try one wheel on for fitment. They also look very heavy.
 
ehm.. i weight my ek9 rims b4; they weight around roughly close to 8kgs.

this gts rims weights around 16lbs i tink ; after converting its aroun 7.8kgs too.

but the ones i google on the net is 16x8jj; not 6.5 jj; mebbe tis is a little lighter??

will tat make alot of difference?? comparing vs to my ek9 rims?

yes the rims belongs to my fren; but he has 65series tires on them; too thick. only free to test them out on the weekends.

cos my ek9 rims is on offset 50; tis is offset40; wont the tires/rims be sticking out from the fender causing it to rub? havnt install a offset40 rim b4.

well; i manage to fit the rims in :p

the rims weights 8.9kgs without the tires.

wat do u tink?

 
Doesnt look like you have to much clearance there between the tyre and arch. To be honest I don't like them and would keep the OEM EK9 wheels over them, just my opinion, if you like them yourself then go for them...
 
my mech sed that i would have to knock the fender abit so it wont rub against it incase if it touches.

but i guess i can give it a try n see how it goes

oh btw; the pic above is on 65 series tires :sweat:

i didnt manage to put a lower profile tire yet; i m planning to use 205/45/16 tires.

Whilst you have the chance coz i assume your gonna get new tyres get them painted black IMO.

Think they will look good with smaller tyres i like the way they fill the arches.

i think they look kool... but not as kool as standard EK9 wheels!
 
I like it but fitment looks shite, better keep OEM.
 
keep OEM..much much better.
and as said before that clearance looks like it could cause trouble to me. if you need to start talking about doing fender work etc your barking up the wrong tree in the first place if you ask me.
 
i'm back guise;

here's some pics of the rims repainted with new tires. n my car going for a new paint job.

the fitment was jst right. doesnt looks like it will hit or scrub against the fender.

the only thing i need to get is the center cone / Hub-Centric Ring.; as there's a small gap
