H brace style

Just woundering would there be much difference in the two types of under body H braces. I have the red type but it is pushing up against the flange joining the de-cat and the manifold so I woundering should I cut off the center bar and have one like the blue one.. I hit the road yesterday and it cracked my decat on the weld so thinking of cutting the bar off.

You can enlarge the holes with a file to give you more clearance! Worked a treat for me.

Not sure if that would help. Its the bar going across the middle on the red one that is pushing up againt the de cat flange and when the H brace hits the road it just pushes at the de cat.

I wouldnt think there be much difference in the two types so might just cut the bar off

You could use a washer at the other end to space it.. depends what the clearance is like. Failing that... angle grinder out

Angle grinder got a go at it and now is like the blue one. Got my de cat welded up today so will put it back on tomorrow night

Yup, my H-brace sits about 2" off the deck, had it off recently and literally chunks missing from it

Going to weld up and reinforce the subframe soon

I feel they do make a nice difference to the front end but as steven said if your car is low you will take chunks out of it. Say mine is only about 2 inchs from the ground and over a bouncy road it can bang off the ground which can get annoying

Ye Im going to get one, did look into them in more detail since your first post and i think there a good installment! That could be annoying but sure once you can deal with it the odd time its not to bad! Thanks Daniel
