H.I.D lights

I was thinking about getting a set of h.i.d lights for my ek9 but i was told that they fade and crack the headlight, did anyone have this kinda trouble with h.i.d`s??
 
Ive sold & fitted lots of hid's and never come across any problems or affecting headlights.
 
Most popular is 8k here stateside. I recommend for the most light output 6k!
 
I have 8000k but I regret it, and I wish I got 6000k instead because 8000k is too blue.
 
The blue also varies by brand ( maybe it will be safer to say by amperage/watt 55kw vs 100kw. I had 8k's and I loved them, then I switched brands and went with hi/low 8k's and I hate it, too blue and lower output.
 
Get 6k,

And no problems with cracking or anything like that, many people will say it blinds people but just tell them to jog on, range rovers/X5's blind more and no one says anything about them.
 
Thanks for the help lads, did ye have any problem with headlights fading and cracking?
 
The company i was thinking about buying them off has four different types of bulb, H1 H3 H7 and HID Bi-Xenon. What would be the best type??
 
The bi-xneon is the most expensive. It has good clarity and it allows you to keep hi beams. The h1,h3,h7 are just bulb sizes. IIRC you need h4h/h4.
 
I got my Bi-xenons for £55, when it was on offer, now the guy is selling for £100 lol
 
I have 35w 8000k and am thinking i want 10,000k's as i dont feel mine are blue enough.
 
As far as i have seem the 4300k ones are the whitest.

All my mates went for the 6000k's and are blue. So i went for the 4300k's almost pure white.

The end of the day all HID's in old civic headlights are ileagal so having the closest to white is the safest for me :nice:

I got mine from HID direct. The 35w ones but after like 4-5months they are already starting to fail. Cheap wirring.
 
Pure white 4300k only applies to piaa. To my knowledge.

Im not going off charts on the net im going off what i have seen. I have loads of mates who have 6000k ones and in comparison to that chart they all look more like 8000k or 10000k.
