Hi , has anyone ever tried a set of these? The garage my car is in cant get the toyo r1-r or the yokohama a048.. and i was warned away from the fedral 595's. Has anyone got any suggestions for what tyres to order? i had the t1-r and they were ok, just after more grip!

They are going on a set of 16x7 rota grid real lites. so 205/45/16 should be perfect yes?

Thanks in advance guys,
Dan

They are a good all round tyre but not specifically a performance tyre..

Ask the garage will they fit the tyres if you buy them elsewhere ..
(just say your mate is selling his tyres lol) then you can order from Camskill etc and get the tyres you want

Why were you warned away from the federal 595's. They are probably the best tyre i have ever used! Those hankooks are a great budget tyre. much better imo than the toyo's.

Would consider the V12's to be an ok mid range road tyre. Not really great in either wet or dry but not particularly bad either. They have quite soft ish side wall's for my liking making them not responsive enough for me. Would'nt say they were anywere near the same class as A048's or R1R's. Im yet to try the federalls but have heard nothing but good reveiws on them. Know a few people who will only run the federals so they cant be all that bad.

Thanks for the helpful replys guys! Appreciated!
I was warned away from them as they were "far cheaper and therefor not as grippy as the 888's", but from digging around at tyre reviews they seem to be just as good? Apart from some of them having issues with quality.

Seemed strange as the v12 were almost the same price...
How are camskill for delivery? I think ill just get the them there and charge the garage( they crashed it, taking it for a spin) so they have to replace everything!
dying to get the car back on the road and try the new wilwoods!

Thanks once again guys.
Dan

I also made a choice between the V12 and the T1R for my street tyres. Allthough both are almost the same price, I went for the T1R. The T1R isn't a bad tyre, but I wouldn't track with it. From what I read the T1R is worse in the rain than the V12.

R1-R and T1-R quite a difference.

true, I was just trying to say that I think the Hankook V12 is in the same line of the T1R and not the R1-R.

At track I'm driving the Toyo R888 and the difference between the T1-R and R888 is huge.
