allways just stuck with the cheap unleaded fuel , but wonderd if shell v power or super unleaded would make any difference to a little JDM b16 engine ?
 
Ever since I had the b16b I've never used the cheaper petrol. Always ran tesco momentum or shell v power. Momentum seems to give better mpg and v
Power makes the engine roar more...
 
I only use v power. If I don't (once) my engine feels jerky if that makes sense.... Plus I just like to know its not just **** am putting into the car..
 
If a jdm engine use v power or momentum other wise stick to normal
 
It's cheaper for me to run v power due to the better MPG I get,
Ran a tank of standard once when I got caught out and didn't feel as good.
It will not do damage though, they have a Knock sensor before anyone runs in here telling you it's so bad

This,i personally thing v power is the better one better mpg and abit more grunt
 
Either ones good,never got a problem getting tesco super unleaded as they're takin over the world

Ive only ran my ek9 of Shell Vpower or Tesco Momentum 99. Ran it once on standard shell 95 ron and it spluttered and got crap mpg from it.
 
i put emergency asda full in £20 worth, the car felt like shite till i filled up again. So yeah i recommend super unleaded for the extra few pennies

sounds like it does make a difference then , allways been perfectlty fine with normal unleaded but so it should, will try v power on the next fill up
 
Usually people that say it makes a "Massive difference" are full of crap.

You may notice a slight difference in MPG but i've never noticed a difference in performance in any of my Honda's when having to put 95Ron in.

The only reason I put 99 in the EK9 is because they're mapped to take 101Ron I believe and I get noticeably more MPG when driving up and down the country anytime I've had to.
 
Best we have around here where I live in N.I is 97 (Super unleaded) :(. It's better than 95 I guess. And My car has never been run on anything less.
