will i have a question how do the jasma headers perform are they a waste of $$

Jasma stands for [SIZE=-1]Japan Automotive Sports Muffler Association. Is not a brand.

Hmmm, that looks like OEM jdm B16B, B16A header, save more and get another one. I prefer a generic "ebay" header instead of this.

do you recommend something for my ls/vtec that gives good power and tq ??

MANOS will be here any minute to suggest a 5zigen :)

no way, that thing is not a stock header, the stock header is cast, thats tubular and stainless steel (the top portion) for a $100 its not bad, but you could buy one off ebay for the same price. its up to you, i think its a good price as long as it has a 2.5" collector.

Does anyone know on the 5Zigen header is 5Zigen stamped on it

Yes, actually the logo is not stamped but engraved twice between the 4 screws. The "Jasma" stamp is on the header pipe.

Cheers:nice: Will post pics when I pick mine up this week and install

Does this jasma header let off some 'noise' like metal vibrating under low rpms. Cos i was sitting in my frd's car that day, he told me his jasma header, becos its lighter n thinner ('hollow') hence it tends to vibrate easily as compared to the stock headers.?

Also I was told that they tend to crack at the '2-1' portion over time as they r thinner. (especially if they r 'tightened' hence the screw springs should not be overtightened to allow 'freeplay')

LOL WTF Sorry for laughing !!! I've never heard that 1 before!

I just went to TODA's website and their 4-2-1 headers will restore the 15% loss of lower end torque with only 1.5% loss of top end power from their 4-1 header.

So unless you have you car as a tracker, get a 4-2-1 header.

Theres nothing more reliable than a stock part when the car is untouched. A header with a genuine Jasma stamp is considered to be reliable, but hey, everything can happen to anything.....:nerv:
I had a non-jasma aftermarket header on my previous Civic and it cracked at the 4-2 join, but was not difficult to fix

As far as I know there is only one for both B16A and B16B. The key term is "1.6L DOHC VTEC" exhaust manifold :D. The same with B18C SiR and B18C Type R there is only one for 1.8L DOHC VTEC. Btw, there is only 4-2-1 formation so its more like street oriented :nice:
