I replaced the plugs in my engine today and did not realize until I was finished, they have a heat range of 6, I read that the OEM heat range for the B16B is 7. My question is am I screwed or will I be ok?

The oem heat range is 6 mate. You would see a problem anyway i use to run 7's in my ek9 no problem when it was lightly modded...

Ok I I thought I had heard the B16A took the 6 and the B took the 7s. The only mod I have on the engine is a cold air intake...

It wont really mater mate its not like your running 9's or somethink totally crazy.

stick to 7. 6 is 2 hot. mine came with 8 fr japan.

Standard EK9 plug heat range is *7* the same as JDM and UK DC2's so go with the *7*. If the heat range is too hot ie. 6 it can lead to detonation but im not sure if this would happen using 1 heat range difference from standard

Thanks for all the input guys, I did not think 1 heat range would make a significant difference, but I wanted to make sure...

Lol... We are not talking about a 350bhp monster here. If you like throwing money away go and buy your self a set of bkr7e.
