Hello and help needed!!

Yeah thats what I thought! I know a bit about EK9's as I was gonna buy one before I ended up getting the DC5!!

I've sent him another e-mail so we'll wait and see...

He says it's a quick sale needed as he's getting married next month!

if its a scam you wount be able to go have a look before you buy! Defo go and see it first though

Not true, i have seen scams that allow you to view the vehicle for sale, they then talk you into a down payment or deposit (usually online or wire) and off they go, or better yet they say they will have the car delivered to you after viewing, you pay in full and bye bye car, many possibilities, best advise is use your brains, if it seems fishy IT IS!

Looks well dodgy to me. Also why isn't it a round price? just i bit of a random asking price to me.

sorry about the wrong section bit mate!

I thought it was probably a scam too!!

he hasn't replied to my email this morning yet, but I think I'll steer clear!!

thanks again chaps!!

I think the scam is at the "have it converted to MPH and de-restricted" part. It's been in Britain for around 7 months, it would have been de-restricted surely?

Mine has been in over a year, ive never had it changed to MPH and never de restricted, the spoon ECU de restriced it though but if i hadn't added that i would still be stopping at 112

But as Blinkx said, they need to have a reason to take the car away after you've paid and the fact they will de-restrict it and convert it to MPH for you for free sounds fishy. I sent the guy an email too but I don't have high hopes.
