hello lads.ok i have a 96 1.4 ej9 honda civic and i want to put a b16a/b16b into it and build it as a rallycar my question is what wireing loom do i need to look for to make the b16a/b16b to work and is the any specific type of loom that will work on both engines if i decide to change them down the line a bit..and do i just need an engine part of the loom or do i need the complete loom from backlights right up to the engine.any help is great lads cheers

you did now in fairness.not doubting you ok i just wanna make sure 100% i have my information correct..so ok what i need is a prefacelift ek4/ek9 engine wireing loom yes?i take it that this part of the loom unplugs from the bulkhead yes?and when i get either ek4/ek9 loom and ecu will they just plug in and play or do i need any wireing harnesses ect.sorry to be a pain in the ass.

You should have bumped the old thread up rather than starting a new thread of the same topic. As I said already you need a obd2a vtec engine loom from either EK4 or EK9 if your civic is 96-98model or obd2b if 99-00model. The engine loom on all EK/EJ9 civics goes thru bulkhead straight to Ecu and connect with dash loom there also(green plug on engine loom) It's plug and play once you use the correct loom and ecu. i.e for b16b in a prefacelift(96-98) model civic you use the obd2a loom and a obd2a PCT ecu.
