helpp!!!! diagnostics software for ek9.

can anyone help me because i can't get my car to communicate with my elm5 scan (diagnostics interface).

I've tried using pcm scan,scan xl,scantool.net and proscan, protocol it not detected through any of the software.

i have the 3pin - 16pin connector aswell. (do i need to use the 2pin connector or doesn't it matter?).

can anyone advise on what software to get that will communicate properly with the interface and the car?

usually just bridge across the 2 pin connector to get the flash codes mate

Can't help I'm afraid but I am interested in this 2/3pin to 16 pin connector you've got?

my mate got it for me its got 16 pin conector one end wich plugs into the diagnostic kit and 3 pin the other end witch gose into the car. but not sure if it needs to be pluged into the 2 pin conector for the diagnostic to work or if it needs a difernet software on my mates laptop for it to work.

I was looking at the possibility of fitting one to get live engine data out onto an app on the iphone via a WLAN transmitter that plugs into an OBD2 16 pin connector.

Do you think this would work?
