Hi lookn for a ek9 type r..
must be 99-00 facelift model white.
also lookn for 1.6 in log book.
must be immaculate inside and out/ standerd condition.
Im in donegal Ireland..
sure if u no any one or any body has one let me no wats out there:drive:

scumtree or bumdeal are your best bet for one thats wrongly registered!
 
you won't find a genuine ek9 down as anything else in the tax book thats in immaculate condition...

proper owners have them down as a ek9 jap import, and properly look after them.

the ones that have them down as 1.4, 1.5 etc. dont seem to be as good condition as the rest!!
 
i thought all ek9's were registered as 1.6 jap import...? do they just say on the phone "its a 1.4" ...?
 
welcome to the forum mate there should be plenty of cheap 9s for sale in ireland donedeals ur place jus be careful as there is some dodgy cars

ive been flat out look on done deal and all but i just cant find the rite one..
a lot of them are hurbly over pirced and rough!!
wen ur import the low u can get in the book is 1.6 lsi i think..
im lookn for south one, inst of vrt it and all ect ect

What is your budget? There is a few nice ones knocking around just keep an eye out!
 
The reason for 1.6 lis in the book its its the only way i can get incrance:nerv:..
Im sure us no the craic with it!!
once they hear v-tec ur ****ed lol..
will my buget all depens on the car..
seen alot advertise from €3,500 til about €5,000..
 
What age are you man? I got insured on my ek9 at 19 no problem! It might be a bitch to get insured but trust me you can!!

Well really if you cant insure it propaly you shouldnt be buying one

wen they hear donegal it makes it worse i think lol..
with 1.6 on the book would make life easier u no..
 
Well thats the plan get a non v-tec in book and im flyn lol
ur rite tho u point buyn one and cant dive it!!
 
Im with Quinn, i used to have a mitsubishi lancer 1.3, a colt 1.3 and a golf 1.4. I have insurance in my own name and when i bought my ek9 i just swapped over and payed the premium! I would never insure something wrong! Its not worth it and more than likely you will be caught out! And if you crash your F***ed and so is who ever you hit!! :(
 
insurance companies have coped on to the type r being insured as a 1.6 non vtec so now when you ring them to insure the car and give the chassis number, the no straight away its a type r as it will start with ek9... and even if you do get away around it, if you have an accident you wouldnt be covered

Lad really dont chance it. Wait another year or 2 and then get one. You dont need an ek9 when you 18. Your only driving a year. What have you been driving
