Hill climb/Sprint car!

I would recommend if possible, get a 1990 civic and fit in it a b18c engine from a dc2. fit in it the dc2 brakes and suspension and you should be rocketing away. the civic has much less weight than the integra and the extra displacement will help you alot in the corners. can't you make any extra mods such as intake kit or manifolds?

Correction, when you install all those parts from a DC2R onto a civic, you'll end up having more weight than a Real DC2R. Why? because your adding heavier parts.

I don't know why people think the civic R is lighter than the Integra R?

EK9 with ABS, SRS, aircon = 1090kgs
DC2R, aircon, ABS, SRS 98spec = 1080kgs

They both had options of removing the aircon, SRS and ABS. So no matter what. the DC2 is always lighter.

1.8 vti will produce 175bhp if i can remember right!

tho is this the Rover/ Honda chassis like the areodeck?

if so, EG & EK hatches will hve better handling...

What would i Civic 4dr 1.8 vti be like ?
2000 x reg ?

Handling/perfomance wise would it be worth while looking at?

There cheap compared to any other quick honda!

dont go there they are crap handling is poor compaired to the eg and the ek. plus the extra bhp is lost due to the weight. the eg sir2 is faster than a del sol. i would even say the eg sir2 is faster than a ek9 well the ones i have seen. thats what i would go for. or get an old eg ind put a b18c into it with a 4.9 final drive should be awsume with all that torque in the b18c

Thats correct, its a myth that the ek9 is lighter, but it's not :nerv:

The EK9 has the disadvantage of displacement, that has to be compensated with pure chassis performance.

I didn't know that. I thought that by selecting an older model civic, it would be much lighter than a civic-r. Lots of people do that swap in my country, thats why I suggested it. But apparently everybody made the same mistake. thks guys
