from first impressions i would go for the black EK9 looks fully stock which means you can mod it yourself, recaros could do with a bit of cleaning thou.

mainly down to personal taste thou! not sure about de wheels on the yellow 9.
you would also benefit from being the 1st registered owner on the log if you went for the black 9 which always helps when and if you want to sell it
 
ya i agree.... whats the best way to clean recardo's.... i was thinking black myself yellow stands out 2 much which can be a bad thing
 
I would chose the yellow one, here are a few reasons why:


-it has less mileage
-its cheaper
-the mods it has are very tasteful and very minimal, just wheels, lugnuts, tower bars, and the spoon ecu and elbow. All of which can be removed and sold to make money to buy parts if you don't like them but i would just leave them on.
 
now a days here u cud take 2 r 3 grand off that price they been on the site for months before x mas as far as i can remember
 
blinxx makes good points...suppose its just person choice.....theres a thread on hear somewhere on how to clean recaros just search for it and you'll get it.
 
For me, i'll get the Yellow one. First, it has low mileage. Second, its cheaper. Third, it has some goodies that you will need or buy someday. If you dont like those upgraded parts then you can sell them and buy the OEM. :)

thanks man... think yellow wud draw too much attention thats why i don want it as i wll be racing :eek:
 
IF you looking you shouldn rule out going to the uk. With the current exchane rate you're gettin a vert good price VRT will set you back about 1000 boat over isnt that much and NCT is basically nothing! £6000 could be on irish roads for about 8000ish and if you got one off somebody on this site you would be getting a very well looked after car
 
dont worry about the price.... cars in ireland going for peanuts ppl who bought skylines sylivias etc only 2 years ago for 15k are only getting between 6 and 8 k.... and type rs are only getting 8....plus a saab to trade in against it
 
both are good looking. The black one would be more discrete. It's stock and this is very crucial when it comes to used cars. I agree that spoon products are good to have and of good quality too. Still an aftermarket ecu is what i would be afraid of most on a stock car. There are too many honda ignorants who use aftermarket ecus and chipped ones on almost stock cars that rev up to sky.. This would be catastrophic as everyone knows and the consequences would appear as km increased. Of course all these are mere assumptions which you should clarify however.
 
yellow for the fact its rare, cheaper, tastefully modded, less mileage and its Yellow!! :D
 
the lad thats selling the yellow 1 is a top man i baught white type r of him 2 weeks ago 6 months engine and gearbox waranty and the car was 100 % he has few other type rs aswell
