I bought this EK as a donor car to use the engine in my EG6.
Basically this car had been parked in the same drive in the same place and never moved for the best part of 5/6 years.
I always drove past and eyed it up lol, never really thought much of it, untill on a nice summers day I drove past and it had been washed, and I saw the LCA's blinging underneath.
So that got me thinking maybe the cars had a engine conversion and a few bits and bobs done to it.
So as time went by, id go on my daily commute and see it for another year, anyway I told my mate about it once as we drove past, and he said shall we knock on the door and see if it's for sale lol.
I've never really knocked on a door just to ask about a car, so I hesitated a little and thought the owners might find it suspicious lmao.
So we knocked on the door and some lady opens the door and I asked her if the civic is for sale, she said it might be, it's her boyfriends, she told me that her boyfriend did mention to her that it's got a really special engine lol, as soon as I heard that I just thought JACKPOT!!!.
So I asked her if it's okay to have a quick look at the car, and she was cool with it, so we both went down the drive and checked it out, first thing I clocked was the Mugen twinloop! I couldn't believe my eyes lol, then the SW96 wheels wrapped in Federal 595 rsr tyres, which I thought the car had a 4x114.3 set up with DC2 wheels, then I looked in the car, it had a X BRACE and a pair of Bride Brix seats! I just thought to my self this is getting better and better lol, went to the front end, had a SiR front lip and was pretty low, so I knew it had Coilovers on it.
I was curious to find out what was under the bonnet, I had a feeling it was a Type R lump, weather it was a B16B, B18C/B18C6 or even a K20, I knew it will have a nice power plant.
so i left my name and number and told the lady to pass it on to her boyfriend.
So her boyfriend calls me the next day, and he told me more about the car, first thing I asked him was about the engine, he told me it was a B18C out of a JDM DC2, so I arranged to view the car propperly.
So me and my mate went up and checked the car out, it was absolutely mint, no rust anywhere, sills and arches are the cleanest I've seen.
So we sealed the deal and got the car back to my unit.
P.s I got the car for a absolute STEAL!
