Honda Specialists in or near Southampton

Morning Guys,

Does anyone know of any honda specialists / tuners in the Southampton area. The 9 needs a good service / lookover and I am reluctant to take it to Alan Day Honda as they probably don't even know what it is.

Havent found anyone near our way m8 i have looked into it a fair bit but you never know. Your prob best off travelling a few miles to get it sorted. Il be getting my nine next year so look forward to seeing you about.

Lol yer Alan day would prob think its a modded EJ9.

If it was a honda motorcylce you would be in luck in Soton but if you realy want a top notch service it might be worth on sat taking a drive to a specialist that someone has used and can vouch for i know i will when i get my nine.
 
Maybe a bit too far, but you could try Tom at TGM, 44 Sankey Lane, Fleet, GU51 2RS, Tel: 01252 811972.

I live in Oxford and choose to drive to Fleet to get work done on Honda's. Another mate of mine lives in Essex and he also goes to TGM for work done.

Hope you find a place to get your car serviced.
 
Fleet is fine. Its only 30 mins up the M3. I did try looking at their website but it seems to be down at the moment.

i always get my mate iain to do mine hes a jag n scooby mechanic:) ive heard good things bout tgm tho:nice:
 
As said, i also live in southampton and go to tgm, however, saying that, i have taken my car to alan day honda before. and they fully knew what car i was in
 
Just spoke to Tom at TGM

Around £280 ish for...

Timing belt
Valve clearences
Oil
Filters
Plugs
Gearbox Oil
A good lookover (diff etc)

Can't knock that price at all. Will be booking it very shortly :)
 
Great price ! I know who il be using when i get mine. Considering i paid £250 for an MOT timming belt and tensioners and a few little bits thats a great price.
 
Worth the trip up the M3, Toms rates are very good with excellent knowledgable service. TGM's website is poor though, always best to ring him direct, bear in mind they are always VERY busy, especially now as they are in the Britcar 24hr race this weekend.

I had a Prelude import a few years ago that developed a fault. Portsmouth Honda were rubbish and gave the car back (after a week)saying its probably the ECU but its an import and they have exhausted their testing methods.
They charged my warranty for parts it didnt need too.

I took it to Station garage in Parkgate who found and fixed a loose wire on the speedo converter sending the wrong voltage to the ECU hence causing the 4WS and engine lights.

They are Bosch agents and I recommend them. Stay away from Portsmouth Honda.

Apart from TGM which are fully booked up till march! Who else in Southampton?
I need my caliper replacing....Anyone wanna earn some cash? I've got the caliper....

hi guys, as tom does alot of race prep his diary is always full! hes a popular guy, give me (dave) or russ a call at phillips motor services on 01252 616219 or have a look on phillipsmotorservices.co.uk. we are about 5 minutes from toms, i used to work on toms race team with the DC5, we specialise more in standard or tuned road cars than race cars tho.
