Decided to do a custom tune on my EK9 today so booked a hr on Couture Auto's Dyno Dynamics rollers. I done some datalogs and tuning on route to dyno as I knew I would be limited for time with only having a hr booked.
I done a few power runs on stock OEM EK9 ecu to begin with which gave peak 175.4bhp which is a very good result for a EK9 on this dyno then connected up my Moates demon installed obd1 ecu and started tuning with Ectune software.
Most of the hour was taken up tuning the cruise area of map for max. tractive effort which payed off when I took it out on the road to feel how responsive it was at part throttle.
With the remaining time left I started doing WOT sweeps to tune for max output. I could have done with more time but was happy enough with the gains achieved especially considering this car is stock bar decat and J's Racing induction kit. Torque was improved right across the power band and made peak power of 185.1bhp @~8600rpm. Vtec cross over now at 5800rpm.
