brand new hubs from honda for this project you need to used the one from the 98-02 accord v6 front hubs part #44600 s87 a00
you are going to need this hubs to fit the s2000 rotors you can also used the rsx type s ones if want it but i used s2000 since got them cheap

this is only one side i be doing the other side sometime this week as soon as i get some time and putting them on the car with my 16 hope this be helpfull for some people out there the like the dc5 brembos cuz its possible and easy when i do the other side i post more pics

Excellent, but can you not use these calipers with 282mm discs? And if so would you still have to change the hub?

did your dc5r calipers bolt right up to the knuckle? It looks like you did something to get them to bolt up, but I cant tell clearly and I noticed you mention you change other things, but no the caliper bracket.

here in the US I did this about 4 years ago. my dc5r brembos didnt match up with the taps on the arm. I had the arms modded to bolt the caliper on. I used OEM dc2 r rotors and nismo 350z pads.

heres a pic from when it was done:

it wasnt worth doing I felt. eventually the mods I did to get the calipers to mount up failed. spoon twinblocks with abs worked much better in my opinion. I may upgrade to AP calipers soon though. spoon felt better, and are lighter than the dc5 brembos.

well i got jdm itr suspension on my ek(36mm axles)and they bolt straight up onto my knuckles the only mod i had to do was the hubs because i need to fit the s2000 rotors and the hat of the s2000 rotors its smaller them the itr they didnt fit so i change then other them that the new bearing i put since i was taking the hub out it make sence to put everything new no mods like cuttin or welding are need for this dont know if you did it your self orwhen to any shop but trust me they bolt on to my knucks i even try then on my 96 accord 5lugs it got prelude suspension on it

It seems a hell of a lot of work and messing around, and I cant see this being a cheap mod either, unless you can get the second hand calipers very cheap, as well as the arms/hubs.
There are now kits available which bolt straight onto the EK9 hub, either using the standard 282mm disc or a larger 298/309x32mm 2 piece discs. Far easier, with cheaper consumables.

that is the idea. I picked up used dc5r calipers here in the us for 200 usd, (about 125 pounds), so its cheap in away. thye look good too, esp. on a white or champ white EK:nice:

So £125 for the calipers, then discs, pads, hubs, bearings etc, plus the extra time it's going to take to fit, and probably the new wheels as they're not going to fit under OEMs :)

i know what your saying but the conversion came up to $700usd since i all ready got 16" wheels thats way cheaper then spoons or any other brand as far as i know
1-$350.00 the brembos ship
2-$108.00 the hubs from honda($54.00 each)
3-$95.00 the bearings from ebay ship (they $73.00 each at the dealer anyways I got the same ones nsk)
4-$46.00 brake pads from auto zone till later on I will get brembo ones
5-$100.00 the s2000 (c/s) rotors ship from ebay
A big total of $699.00
and you can basiicly doit your self im not asking no one to doit i just feel its time to let the truht come out if you look at any threads on this topic all the people say "its not going to work, they dont fit,you going to need special brakets,or you need to cut and reweld your mounting points so the calipers will fit" so i decide it was time to make a real thread about this i know few here being interest in this thing i was for who knows how long since i saw those brembos on the dc5r's for the first time back in 2003-2004

since then i being in love with then + they look sexy on the ek and its an upgrade the not every body have i just want to be different then every body else most people got legends or nsx calipers or spoons (well not every body got spoons )i know they good and fit under the 15 but if you look arround most people used 16" or 17" wheels at this days im not a big fan of 17" but i got a set on my 96 accord 5 lug and going to try to get some tl-s brembos in there too later on but thats something different anyways this its just an info for those the like me are tired of the same and wants something different i hope you guys like it and as soons as i get some time i post more pics

Fair dos for making it work!
Most people ask if they'll bolt straight on to their car, so in short the answer is still no, you've got to do quite a bit of work and buy other parts to make it fit.

Also, over in the UK people tend to stick to 15s, and occasionally go to 16s as you get better handling/acceleration from them, plus the rubber is a lot cheaper :D

You're still looking at £450-£500 if you can get a set of second hand calipers for <£200...

Thankfully over here there is a couple of kits that will bolt straight to the existing hub without the Spoon or AP Racing price tag attached :)

ok like i say before i just want to make sure the others interest in this upgrade dont get the wrong info the its not goint to work if they want to doit they can get doone without the need of cutting and rewelding like every body say's.this is an upgrade maybe not for every body but for those interested in it thats all .i had seen upgrades on peoples cars the i wouldnt never do on my car but some other people like it different people different taste

some people like n/a cars i preffer boost its all on what you want
another example now every body its going k while i still in b-series i dont like k-series and dont get me wrong they produce big numbers its just not my type even when i love the fact of having a 6 gear to push it a little more

Thanks for the info, there is a lot of confusion about what is needed for this mod so this is good info!

thanks budy any time i got few more info on others stuff its just the got to make some time to put it together with pics
