Need the complete ignition as key will contain the code that the p9k ecu will be looking for and the transponder as you said.

thanks, was hoping i didn't have to change the key barrel as the ignition and door will use different key. maybe i could take the door locks from the doner car as well.

If you dont wanna change your ignition and locks just tie the donor car key up to the bottom of ignition barrel so it picks up the signal from the coded key to disable the immob. With this option your immobiliser will be off at all times.

cool. so i'll only need to change the transponder and keep my original key barrel, clever! thanks alot!

does anyone know the functions of the wires on the transponder connection which has 8 wires?

black x2 ? i suspect these are earth
blue/black ? think this goes to starter relay
green/red ?
white/black ?
black/white ?
red - ECU code
pink - light in dash

if anyone knows which wire i need to remove to remove immobiliser i would be greatfull of a pm thanks

Ej9 ECU have the same immo board that p9k ECU. Just remove immo board from ej9 ecu and put it into p9k ecu. I had the same with ek3, my friend did that with ej9.
