I am trying to find out when my EK9 was imported into th uk. Anyone know how i can do this?

I hav checked dvla database and AA car check and all it gives me is details of mot and mileage history and thats its hpi clear, etc. My old mots that i got with the car from previous owner goes back as far as 2001 so not sure if it was imported just before then

spoke to th previous owner i bought th car from 6 years ago and he reckons newera imports imported it. Tried contacting thm but no luck

what i want to do is find out who converted it from km to mph and when so i can confirm approx mileage on my car

i have no import docs or bills of sale, etc so someone must hav records of that somewhere?

Check my v5c and date of reg in uk is 1998 which cant be true as tht was th date it was first registered in japan surely as its an R reg

I am in a muddle! :( someone please help!! Lol

On the V5 it states the declaired date of manufacture and also date it was registered.
You can get a BIMTA report ordered off of the website to give you the date and mileage.
PM me the reg and chassis numbers as it might of been one of the 150+ that I imported.

Hey Dunx, checked that on my v5 and both dates are th same which is 1998 which cant be right. Dvla must hav made a mistake there

Which website can i order the BITMA report from?

I am the 5th UK Owner of my car so the bill of sale and import docs must be with previous owners or lost :(
 
Saw a thread over on ITR-DC2 a while back from a guy that would verify the mileage on your car and maybe some other stuff in the retailers section, was £50 iirc though.

Yea james its defo worth doin a bit of digging as its good to kno th exact history. Especially for when/if you sell th car ;)

Tried typing your chassis number into Google to see if it brings anything up ?
 
Checked my chassis number on google and nothing comes up :(;think al need to try and contact th first 2 owners to see if they know
