Hi all

As some of you know i have recently bought a EP3.

The exhaust on it is something to be desired and I really wanted something subtle...

Would love a spoon! Well there was a company on eBay doing Spoon N1 reps for £129 hmm I thought it is only a back box and if it's rubbish I will send it back. Few weeks passed we picked the car up and I got a notification saying "Xmas sale" back box was now £99!!!

I could not resist!

Well it arrived today and I am very impressed with quality, packaging and service.

I will post photos when I get home!

I hope it fits aswell as it looks cause it would be a huge shame to send this back!

Keep you posted....

Thats sweet, always good to land a deal this close to christmas.Looking forward to pics and a video in action if it fits well :p

its hard to pass the exhaust for £99, im sure the sound will be near enough the same as spoons for less than half the price :D

Looking forward to Pics, My mum just bought an ep3 there, And in stock form they handle surprisingly well since feeling almost like a driving a van with the seating position lol.

You must be made out of money Ian, Hi-Comp EK9, EP3, a bike :p

Whats the EP3 in comparison to the EK9?

Here is the ebay link.

Honda Civic Type-R EP3 Axle Back Exhaust Back Box TypeR | eBay

Pics of the exhaust and car will follow at the weekend.

The EP is a NHB 2002

71,000miles,
FSH,
13monthes mot,
7 monthes tax,
AEM cold air induction kit,
mugen front grill,
mugen pedals,
magnex cat back,
MC brake stopper,
torque damper,
tinted rear windows,
wind deflectors,
HID's

for £2800!!!

Yes i have a few toys. I don't do anything but spend the money on these items. Me and my partner don't go out much.

Joint income makes it easier to buy these things.

Oh and a new job for here with pay rise helps! lol

How does it drive well it is very nice as a fast road car. Engine is nice with a few mods and pulls really well. I love the 6 speed box. I have ordered a few bits not much but Spoon res socks, aluminium bush kit to tighten the sloppy shifter up and obviously the back box. That is all as this has to be our practical car now my partner has lost the company car.

Not a touch on my 9 but i am seriously considering a DC5 and getting rid of the 9..... :nerv:

Car sounds sweet Ian, some videos with the new system is a must :p

Absolutely! I will sort it out at the weekend got a few lil jobs to do. Inc cleaning my 9.

That does look to be made pretty well and for the price you cant go wrong really.

Seem to have picked up a bit of a bargain with your EP3 too, mad how much they are going for at the moment!

EP3's are good cars, get too much stick on this forum. I agree with Tmus, get an evo :D

I recently got an EP3 to replace my daily runner, and must say its a brilliant car. I wouldnt be trying to sell if i wasnt needing some ££ to kit out my flat a bit. New tv and some furniture is a must

EP3's are very under-rated, driven my mates many times and its a great car!!

Well fitted this today along with an aluminium bush kit for the sloppy shifter.

Exhaust! 10/10!!!

I am so pleased, it sounds amazing fits perfectly! £99 bargain of the decade IMO!

Bush kit bit fiddly to fit but got there in the end. Still a little play but it is greatly improved and shifting is far more precise now!

Overall a good days work.

Will get some pics and vids tomorrow.

Thanks Ian

congrats on the new purchase, nhb is the best colour imo. Have you considered getting a fast road setup for it? I've heard this is probably the best modification you can do to an ep3?
