howdy people. my name is jason. i'm 22 from hampshire/berkshire (tadley)

i curently drive a pre face lift ep3 in nhb.

after seeing serveral ek9's and being lucky enough to be a passenger in one.(cheers matt o) i think i'm in love ha ha

so thought i'd sign up as i hear its a good forum :nice:

i've never driven an ek9 so i can hardly compare,

i just like the the fact that if you go for a drive chances are you wont see an ek9 whereas you'll see about 50 ep3's lol

dont get me wrong the ep3 is a great car & loves the lift off oversteer! :drive: ha ha probably why they're so popular.:nice:

so in answer to your question i think its just down to personal preference. if i used both cars to commute etc then ep3 is a bit more refined etc. so i'd choose that, but i dont as i have a work van thats why i'm looking for an ek9.

An EK9 handles way better and feels more RAW then that of a UK EP3 (Speaking from xperiance), your free to come down to mine i live in Bucks near yourself, and we can arrange a test drive of my EK9 ;)
 
Argh Jase matt won't be happy he's upset that i bought one... Not another 1 in hampshire lol.

Having driven both.

The 2 things that sold it for me are looks and LSD.

IMO the EP3 is faster, today i was out with my mate bog standard vs my Stripped EK9 full ex system and intake and over 60 he was pulling away not much before that but had both been standard it would have been more noticable these 0-60 times of 5.7 for a EK9 are just not true. Anyway its not all about speed the EK9 was made for corners.

Both great cars but EK9 is more hard core. EP3 was and still is Type R for the masses. Unless JDM one.

Get matt to let you drive his...

We'll have to get you down the pub with us, oh my mate loves the wheels on his EP3.

have you got any photo's of my old wheels on his ep3? matt said its a red one if so it should look schweeet!!

yeh 5.7 is a bit optimistic imo, as for the ep3 being faster there's only so much fun you can have in a straight line. its all about the corners, lsd ftw!!
 
ij: quick q, when you had a bit of fun with the ep3, did you start from a standstill? im not a fan of 0-60 times etc or 1/4 mile, but i have had a run with a ep3 at standstill, i was quicker off the line up until mid third due to the lsd.
corners though, the ek9 is easily better than the ep3.(imo)

yeh i'm just in tadley so only like 20-30 mins away, not seen many ek9's about to be honest, although i hear if i want one i should come to you :nice:

have too sell my ep3 first tho :secret: lol
 
babyface--i'm from tadley which is between basingstoke & reading. oh yeh & i anit a feckin pikey/gypo tadlyite!!

i'm middle class lol
 
From my expereince an EK9 stock is quicker then EP3 marginally. My stock one was hitting 15.2 at the drags whilst another guy could not get better then 15.3. Not only that have raced a few of them and its a very good race but top end i had ever so slightly more.

If the 9 has a true 185bhp it will win. The EP3 UK only can manage low 15 quarter mile.....

With B18 you will destroy them, As i do on a weekly basis lol.

We did 2 drags just mucking about rolling arround 5-10mph 1st gear, then another around the ring roads and i was right behind him, got crap tyres at the mo which are hindering performance massively. However i think he was a lil upset that a 1.6 was so strong. :D
