i'm lookin to get a cat back system for my SiR soon and was wondering what systems are worth looking at. i'm looking for something in the €500-600 range and not too loud either with decent proven gains....

also i was wondering about the J's intake. what makes them so good and are the replicas (password jdm, tegiwa etc) as good???

To be honest the J's intakes aren't that good without a decent cold air feed, and there very noisy! Copies will be fine, the only real difference may be the quality of the filter element! I'd recommend buying a copy, using for a couple of months and then buy a K & N cone filter - and just keep this clean!

As for exhausts, that price limits what you can buy new, but something like a Fujitsubo power getter 2nd hand should give some gain without all the noise!

I've gone for a Buddy Club Spec II, I know there hurrendously loud, but they are known for good gains as its a true 2.5" system, full stainless for £300! For a Spoon catback your looking at near enough £1k new - stupid if you ask me...
