i can get insurance on a my type r by registering the car in my sisters/dads name for just 800 euro but they wont even give me a quote on my own policy and im 18
 
I wouldn't bother trying to fiddle the insurance by switching the ownership details and putting you mum as the main driver etc. Insurance companies aren't stupid and if you crash your Civic with lowered supsension, loud exhaust and alloys etc, they're not going to take long to figure out who the main driver is.

Secondly, if you are going to be that stupid, don't admit it on an open forum.

By the way, My VTi with all mods declared is £450 TPFT, 22 2 years NCB but a license dirtier than a camels arsehole. :) Winner.

I'm 19 with 2 claims and paying £1200 on an EK4! And I was only 18 when I took the policy out..
 
i have an ek9 modified and i am 21 years old been driving since i was 17. if u do have mods i wud declare them. i have declared everything on the car and it is 1500 fully comp on my own policy. u can get stung bad if u dont.
