Well I must admit, i'm really starting to miss my ek9.
Basically looking for peoples opinions on DC5's?

Has anyone gone from a 9 to a DC5 what are your thoughts?

Won't be getting one until winter has come and gone so have plenty of time to make a decision. :D

ive not driven one but my friend who works for a well known japanese parts place says the dc2 is much more raw in standard form over the dc5, and that the dc2 is pretty much just as quick as the dc5, but the dc5 has more potential than the dc2 when you start throwing money at it

he has owned a dc2, dc5, and now owns a dc2 k20

Lol, not the only one missing a 9 eh, really regret selling mine sometimes, can't beat a 9 on a B road blast.

Yea I had an EK9, DC2 and DC5. The EK9 and Dc2 are a rawer feel when thrashing them but because the DC5 is a little more refined def does not make it a bad car at all. There a great looking car, I liked the way mine drove alot, feels like they've got plenty of guts in them with the torqier engine and as said respond better to a few simple Mods. I would def buy one again.

Don't get me wrong, the cars i've had since have been fun. Like you say though nothing like a blast on a B road with the sound of a spoon n1. :D

dc2 for me, your paying higher tax and insurance on the DC5, theyre a lot more advanced and im sure theyre safer and they definitely look class but i just prefer the way everything was made in the older hondas, the feeling that this machine in its day was a serious icon and piece of brilliance and exquisite engineering! a turning point in motoring and a model of how things should be

Just food for thought. Surely you could make the DC5 feel as Raw. The DC2 came with minimal sound insulation if any and no carpet in the boot. If you want to make a DC5 feel and sound rawer then put it on a diet and give it some breathing mods.
