Is a/c really necessary?!?

These are the thing that you can pull underneath your dashboard, and you still can pull more from the engine bay like the piping, condenser etc.

1. If you don't need them because of the weather, then don't turn the AC on.
2. If you want to lose the weight, then remove them.
3. If you want to keep the car value, then keep them in the car.
4. Or you may remove them, store them well and put them back when you decide to sell the car.

a. If you don't care what people think about what you gonna do on your own stuff, then do it.
b. If you care what people think about what you are going to do on your own stuff, then don't do it and you never live.
c. If you have decided to do what you wanted to do, then do it and live with it.

in UK there is no need for the A/C for sure :))

If you lived in Portugal, you would need it.

remove it! i have mine, never looked back. Put it all in a box and its quite heavy (compreseor, pipes, brackets etc)

I removed mine, didn't really notice any difference however mine didn't work anyway.

I look at A/C as a down point if im buying a car.

If I wanted something with A/C I would be buying a BMW or the likes.

I had it on my 99 Sti, thought having AC for first time was "cool" :)lol:) but then that had 300hp hp to pull any extra weight and was my pure daily weekend cruiser while I was working on my civic, come to think of it I never really used it that much as fuel was expensive enough with it off lol. I have just bought a Non AC belt for my pulsar so i can remove the AC system out of that, to me it just counts as another job to remove a big heavy object that gets in the way in the engine bay. But thats from a mechanics point of view where unless an item is essenstial in an engine bay, then its just an obstruction and dead weight. Im prity close to concidering removing power steering but I can be lazy so think it will stay.

A/C is not really needed in the UK.
