Iv'e burst my shock absorber while trying to remove spring

Hi
I've managed to burst my shock absorber on the rear of my ek9 whilst trying to remove the spring.
Does anyone know if i can get this fixed? Anyone got any advice on removing the spring from the strut assembly?

First time trying this and im realy pissed off that 've managed to f**k this up

you need spring clamps to remove springs

ok cheers just i saw videos on youtube of people taking the springs off without them ill invest in some tho. do you know if the leaky shock is repairable it spunn when i was trying to turn the top nut. It leaked out the top gland where the piston goes into the cylinder

Don't undo the top center nut till its sitting on the floor. It's a lot easier if you do both at same time by undoing both lower arms so they can drop together.

you cant repair the shock mate. go get a new one.
