Jack's PY K20 EK9 now going K20/K24

Coulda sold you a full k24 bottom end a while ago. If its conrods you need I have dc5 pistons and rods I could sell you. :)

This will be a beast. I need frankenstein torque

Cheers mate i know i can't wait :drive:

Update on the engine front. I bought a k24a3 this morning from an accord auto and i've got some rdx 410cc injectors. Only a head gasket to get now providing the timing chain and tensioner are o.k the engine should be built up for the end of next week :)

How much did you sell the bottom end for? Did it come with everything needed for the swap? I wasn't gonna do it until my engine went

Needed an oil pump, and built up. Cost me 2 odd thousand. Wiseco pistons, blueprint rods, arp studs, acl bearings, and it was a brand new block. Expensive. If you're looking new pistons and rods, hook me up.

Edit: just seem you got a k24 lol.

My complete engine cost £1045 delivered but i'm only going to use standard internals for now. I'll save for a proper build for next year or the year after. My paintwork needs sorting really but it can wait haha

Nice ek9 mate. I'm thinking of going k20 but not to sure yet.

Its a lot of money mate do your research and make sure its what you want!

I'll let you know the difference when its complete but 15bhp and 30ft/lb increase across the rev range from 2000rpm to 7800rpm is going to be awesome!

Looking good!

For a 3" exhaust Skunk2 has the MegaPower RR.

Check it out: MegaPower RR Exhausts (76mm) - Exhausts - Exhaust - Skunk2 Store

I looked at this but it is mega loud lol. I want to go on track and this wouldn't pass any noise regulations. I'm getting a full 3" exhaust made that will pass so it'll be fine :)

My latest parts update-

Meister R speed reactive coilovers. Made in collaboration with Nitron. The first set sold for a honda civic

Where did you get your adapter mate?

I got it from Karcepts mate.

Here's my new number plate and the finished K24. I only need a 3" exhaust and a remap now and the running gear is finished. I still need bigger brakes, bucket seats and harnesses but they can wait.

New plate and badge

So nice,

How easy was the engine build then? Am i right in thinking that its just a k20 oil pump and block off an oil gallery on the bortom end?

You need the k20 sump, oil pump and oil pump chain. I tried to block off the oil gallery but its a funnel shape and my plug went right through. As oil travels uo it and not down i just left it. You also need the front housing off the k20 behind the water pump. I'm not sure what its called. There's a full how to guide on hybridracing.com if you want a look

Thanks mate. Its going to TDI North on the 26th November. I'll post a video of it on the day and the results graph
