Hi

i just bought an ek9 and decided to put it standard and sell off all the goodies. just took the manifold off and took off the heat wrap and it says its a jasma. also says on it b162a

anyone know anythin about them? And how much they are worth second hand?
 
alright mate jasma i a alright brand a few mates of mine run jasma exhaust systems on there starlets and where does it say b16a2 on it mate the manifold or the engine?
 
Its says it on the manifold but it just came off a b16b
 
are you sure you took it off a b16B, i was under the impression the B16B and B18's had a taller block and thus the B16a exhaust manifolds wouldnt fit? With regards to JASMA it stands for Japanese Automotive Sports Mufflers Association. In order to be JASMA approved manifolds and exhausts have to comply with emission and noise levels (Noise level is 98dB), needs to have this stamp to be street legal in japan.
 
Just been doin some research on the net there and according to other forums jasma is not a brand its basically certifing its quality.
 
Yeah mate it def came off my b16b last night.

i was always under the impression that a B16A manifold would not fit a B16B or B18 engine.
 
Im not sure weird like. im gonna need to take rest off the heat wrap off see whats what
 
you are correct that the manifolds wont fit from a b16a to a b16b or b18c due to the taller blocks.
 
Iv just checked the engine block in my 9 and its def b16b it says
 
IIRC jasma have a site where you can enter the code on it to tell you the maker of the manifold.

jasma stamped is more like a standards thingy.

This is a 5zigen exhaust. the 005 at the start denotes this.
 
Good information, finally figured out the brand of my exhaust and header
 
Its a tanabe manifold. and will fit b18c and b16b. that is according to a thread on ozhonda. and like i say its came off mines yesterday
 
Cool! I had a tanabe system on my old civic, it was great quality and looked the part.
