Jdm B18c Gsr Black Top


this is a very easy swap you can use your stock harness (you just add some wires) or the gsr harness, you use the ek9 or em1 or ek4 engine mounts axles, shift linkage etc... it really is an easy swap :nice:
 
tHANX BLINX..now I got more cconfident on mounting aspect bcoz there alot of complaint due to wrongly setup and give a nightmare to the car owner at malaysia:nice:other thing is what about if I do port & polish then using 5 zigen fireball exzhaust & swapping B16A ( NON lsd ) gearbox, where as all other parts are remaining from the stock engine ??? what the wheel horsepower ??? Is it nothing change & remain the same ???:angry2:

Port & Polish is to give better & smoother flow 4 da engine and that will not yield much of HP will gain from there. (Correct me, if i'm wrong).

If you wanna gain some HP, throw in some high cams, high comp pistons. U should be able to c gains from there.

And may i know why u wanna swap your GSR gearbox with the Eg/Ek non LSD gearbox? Having a LSD gearbox is much more fun to drive when taking corners at high speed.
 
keep the lsd gearbox as k00Lric says

dont port and polish

instead, spend the money on the list of mods i posted on page 1 :nice:

Thanx Koolric...Having LSD Gearbox is good enough but I've to spend around RM1.8 to RM 2.7K..:(..which is probably I can get B16B gearbox...

Okey Blinx..I'll follow what you 've mentioned earlier..:bow:
 
for that price you could install an aftermarket LSD (which is a lot better) in the b16a box :nice: and you can do that later when you have more money.
 
Blink, the price that SkyR was quoted is in Malayrian Ringgit not US dollar. If we were to get those aftermarket 1s it's gonna cost around RM3K just the LSD alone brand new.

ahaks...It's depend on modds & engine setup...btw I put more trust& confident on Simon & brother Lai,they are responsible for my ride to become a monster soon:D

GSR motor is an excellent motor, while not as potent as the b18c type r it is still excellent :nice: as far as mods go, you can start with a good intake, header and exhuast system, then a good intake manifold and throttlebody, after that your ready for some cams and engine management.

here is my choice of parts and the average price you will find them for:

step 1
aem/fujita/injen intake $200
edelbrock/greddy/DC header $300-400
any 60-65mm exhuast you like $400

step 2
BBK intake manifold $290
AEBS 68mm throttle body $150

step 3
skunk2 stage II cams
skunk2 valve springs and retainers
your choice of engine management.

this order of upgrades has been proven many times on a gsr motor. usually i dont recomend intake manifold and throttle body so early but the GSR engine really benefits A LOT from those 2 mods.

with step 3 if you have the money you can even add some integra type r pistons that should bump your comression to 11.3:1

Blinx , I just wanna know whp if I done step 1 modds ??Or maybe you can share with me if I could complete all the modds as you mentioned from step 1 till step 3 ??:nice:
