just giving people a heads up on the car was up for sale on ebay and i put a bid in for it the reserve never got met and the guy emailed me to ask if i would pay 2200 i said no he said what about 2100 and i will bring it over on the ferry from the Isle of Arran so i said aye ok thought it was a real steal because of the ek9 spoiler the alloys and the ek9 recaros says theres nothing wrong with it except a bit of rust on the arch
so i asked for pics of both side because the bumper was hanging down he says its because the towbar that was fitted thats why the bumper was pulled away from the arches a bit on both sides he cant get me pics but because the car was over there already incase he could not get it booked on the ferry so i arranged to go see it today
before i went i looked for the car on a few forums to make sure there was no major problems with it seen 1 year ago the owner was having problems with the engine at 2-3000 rpm says it was not running right so when i went down i asked about this he says it was his friends car before him and it fixed itself he says it was sitting for a few months so he just drove it for a while and the problem went away but when he took my brother a test drive round the car park in it he was not taking it over 2000 rpm and my brother says the car was hesitating and juddering the back wheels where also making clunking/rubbing noises when he driving round the car park the disks all round where rusty after saying he not long replaced them as well as replacing the rear calipers
when looking over the car there was a lot more than rust at the back arch the roof had 2 tiny dots and the roof looked like a different shade of yellow but that might of just been the light shining on it there was rust along the sun roof scratch on passengers wing bit a rust on the drivers door bit on the passengers door bit of paint chipped off at the petrol cap a lot paint chipped off the back bumper at the passengers side passengers side had a small dent at where it should be connected to the bumper dont no if this is why the bumper was hanging off or just because it was quite a bit rusty there the passengers wing mirror was also a different shade of yellow ek9 spoiler base plate was cracked and think it was sprayed with a can there was big clumbs of paint there looked bad car was so ruff
so i says to the boy its not worth it with it needing a new respray so he says 2000 i says no 1900 i says no he says 1800 and i will give you an amp and jordan stickers with it i said would not pay more than 1500 in that condition as it needs a full respray he says it dose not its had a respray i said but its all rusty again so needs another one and thats 700-1000 and the engine still might be pumped so its not worth it but trying to be a nice guy since i wasted his time even though he lied saying it was fine i will give you a few quid to get the boat back over so hes says can i give him 200 because it cost 60 to bring the car over and he needs to pay 60 to get it back also cos him 30 to get over and 30 to get back a told him no chance was not giving him 200 for nothing he tried to talk me down on that aswel what about 180 i says no 150 i says mate i will give you 30 not just giving you money for nothing and he was still trying to get more asking for 100 i says NAW THERES 30 then he says can you not just make it 50
ended up giving him 30 and leaving cant believe the state it was in my jordan was crashed in to and wrote off in may 2011 its still sitting in my driveway just now rusting away with over 150000m on the clock and mines is in better condition
