after meny hours of being bord iv noticed not meny people that i no have any ksport big break kits has any one hurd anything good or bad about these kits and also the 4pot rear break kits they do for ek civics dont seem to have the hand break part on it like on stock calipers dose this meen you would have to convert to a hydrolic hand break
this is more curiosity than anything cus hydro hand breaks have always intrigued me

If you wanted it to pass MOT, it needs a cable operated handbrake.

I personally wouldn't touch K Sport products, but some people think they're good.

how would a cable system work on there back break kit tho bin scratchin my head lol as the stock hand break is part of the caliper

It won't. This is why I wouldn't touch stuff like this. It's not designed for a Civic. It's made to fit a Civic. Subtle, but crucial difference.

I bought a set for my Glanza, they was good but i did manage to warp one of them

good to no iv hurd good things about front kits but none for rear this must be why lol supose would be good for a track car , i get bord and just start looking at stuff so what big break kits r there out there that will work on the rear of a civic ?

You don't need one, the EK9 rear brakes are big enough. :nice:

well i need to ether refurb my rears or get new ones as they are starting to bind and play up

Just get refurbed stock calipers, chuck a decent pad compound in and they'll be all the performance you could need. ;)

Yes, 260mm disc and a 34mm piston vs the EM1 240mm disc and 30mm piston.

If you've got a four stud car, you'll more likely be needing the MG ZS rear brakes. They're the same dimensions as the EK9 ones but designed for four stud hubs.

Disc and piston are the same. Not entirely sure if they are the same fitment.

Kozy > I would like to ask what brakes you would recommend to upgrade for civic/crx?

I am now using mb6/itr/ek9 282mm setup, but I feel that they are too weak for my needs. I am thinking about ep3 300mm setup? I also can get TAROX 306mm 6 piston brake kit which is for Honda cars (4x100) and another option is Brembo 4 piston calipers from Peugeot 406 3,0 v6 with 300mm discs.

Which would you recommend? Tarox and Brembo are aluminium calipers, so some weight saving and better brake response?

Thanks

Brembo/Tarox are good products, but they may be overkill. Why do you think the EK9 setup is too weak?

What power, what weight, how is it driven (road/track/race) and what are the rear brakes?

This might be an information overload, but select your current setup in this brake app, and let me know what your dynamic bias is.

Running ksports on my glanza and seem ok on street but not used them on track yet

My car is Honda CRX mk2. Weights 960-1000kg with driver. 270bhp/233nm. Circuit racing/track car. 282mm front/240mm rear was overheating with ds2500 pads. I have some brake ducting/cooling, but there is very little room for it...

Now I sourced 260mm rear setup from mg zr160 and now thinking about front setup.

I tried to add all the info in your link and I got

Dynamic Bias : -173.4 %

What does this mean?

Er, that's not right. At all. Bias should be in the region of 10-50%, you've got some major rear bias going on there.

What did you change from the default settings to get that figure? Can you post a screenshot?
