light weight flywheel

Its worth it to me. :)
But I also like to get up to speed fast/ go through the gears quickly. :naughty:

yes u will get through the gears quicker an get up 2 speed faster, but u will have no top end speed..so its up 2 u

No top end speed? Where do you people get your info from?!

It's a good mod, I reccomend it highly, but it does make driving round town a little more tiresome as it is much easier to stall.

i put in the lightest i found which was the fidanza 3.3kg

i didnt see much of a difference to do it again

took me 11 hours to do with 1 trolly jack and an axle stand

never ever again

use a lift!!!!!

i have used both ACT prolite and streetlite (car had ek4 oem fly at first), i wouldnt run prolite in road car again

much prefer the steetlite

x2, thats why when i did my second clutch job i removed the 8lb and added an 11.5lb.

Agreed! RPM drops too much when you shift slowly and it makes the car feel jerky...

thanks for the hepl guys i think ima go for the street-lite this christmas ;) ciao!

is there a video i can watch so i can compare mine to someone who has a flywheel on his ek9? btw mines stock b16b :) thanks!

A video would not show the effect of a light weight flywheel in my opinion. Its the feel of sinking into your seat when accelerating; super responsive.

I have used 2 weights from ACT, I prefer the middle weight. However, the pro-lite was FUN, if you know how to drive with it, but also the difference is not huge between the two. and its not like your slowing down super fast with the lite version. [to each their own]

If it allows better acceleration it will do the same with deceleration, its just more efficient at doing both which is good when on the track; less heal toe action if you know what I mean...

Maybe if your not sure start with the 11 or 12 pounder first is my advice. I too had concern prior to going light, but I am all for it now.

Example; when driving and about to go up the sharpest hill in your area, your car naturally slows down due to the grade. This same effect happens with a light weight FW, but you slow faster, to compensate, add more throttle/gas! And again one will feel faster acceleration even going up hill. Hands down a good upgrade.

GO LIGHT!:p

i understand the heel and toe thing hehe I race too :)....thanks for posting i appreciate your help i think ill go for the 12 pounder cause my car is used daily too.
