Low seat rails

Been looking at low seat rails. Just wanted to ask people, how low do you actually sit? Like an old granny that can't see over the steering wheel?
Anything that aren't so good with them?
One more thing, where can I buy them? Only seen them on google but not for sale.

I'm 6ft 1, And could just about see over the bonnet, I loved my Spoon rail, You literally seemed to sit on the floor and it felt great! Although the seat sits relatively flat giving reduced thigh support, That was my only noticeable flaw, But this could be sorted with a few washers or something i reckon.

You usually find a lot of shorter people who buy 9's with them in and want to swap for oem etc...

And that rail above looks to be for a fixed bucket seat and not an OEM Recaro.
 
i bought mine from japshop, same as the link posted. they are for fixed buckets and are height adjustable so you dont have to have them silly low

Cheers mate, I'm 6.2! I might give them ago and see how I like them..
 
i swapped my OEm rail for a Feels Low seat rail. on OEM recaro seats.

BEST mod i have ever done .. seriously changes your driving position. makes it a much more enjoyable place to be, i now feel inside the car where as before i felt as if i was on top of it... i hope this makes sense.

I'm just over 6" ;)

Great stuff, was thinking of getting them because I'll be doing a few track days. Think it'll make it feel better to drive if you get me! :D
 
Guys does anyone no what rail would fit a Recaro Pole Position? I have one but don't no what rail is needed. It's for an EK9..
 
I'm 6.1 and have Spoon lowering seat rails on both seats, if you're buying a set try to get the newer version which locks up both sliders, it is a little heavier but more secure, I got that for my passenger seat (£70 delivered - bought from spoon sports europe on ebay maybe try to contact them) as the car had OEM passenger's and spoon driver's slider fitted when I bought it and it looked crap having one seat higher than the other. The passenger's one I have is the older type on which only one rail actually locks up the other one is just a slider and it took some fiddling around to get it reasonably solid, the newer type is definitely better.
Either way I love them and would not go back to OEM!
 
i have buddy club p1s on buddy club rails, they are on pretty much the lowest mount and you sit pretty low :p i cant see the bonnet at all, and my parents say i look like a child driving it.. but its such a good driving position! it feels weird and unsafe getting in a 'normal car' now!
 
Yep as natune said, I rocked bc p1's and the bc rails, such a good driving position, my pug feels like a 4x4 now compared to the 9
 
Picked up a set of spoon rails a few months back. The experience siting in them is immense ! I'm not near 6ft and cant see the bonnet :clap: You get used to them very quickly, ur best off buying a set an keeping your original recaro rails so you have the simple option of switching them back :nice:

X2 i have the spoon rails but i sometimes change back to the oem but i would never sell either of the sets
 
im 5ft 7" and have a buddyclub super low seat rail and had to changed to oem because it was dangerous at my height haha
 
i have some recaros on what i believe to be either dc2 or eg rails bolted in my ek,and they look about the same as the above ones..feels pretty cool sat down so low,when i first got in i had to adjust all my mirrors down and pull my steering wheel down..im 6ft and there fine
 
Anyone got any sites where I can get decent ones from? Ie spoon, buddy club!
 
jap shop or buddy club uk (the same company) sell the buddy clubs, thats where i got mine from, if you email them they also do spd rails, which are identical to the buddy clubs as they come from the same factory, but because they are not branded they are slightly cheaper!
 
anyone know where to get low position rails for bottom mounted seats like the oem recaros. Those buddyclub rails are for side mounted aftermarket seats.

Try contacting spoon sports europe, they don't have them on their website iirc but I bought mine from them on eBay.
